An attempt to break the Guinness World Records for the largest gathering of people dressed as emojis will take place at Dubai Mall Ice Rink on July 15, celebrating World Emoji Day.
The ‘multi-venue’ event will take place at the same time in other cities, including Sao Paulo, London, Moscow.
The event, co-organised by Empire International, will promote animated film The Emoji Movie, which releases in the UAE on August 10.
Organisers say 150 participants are needed. They will be required to be at the ice rink between 4.30pm and 6.30pm. Those interested can email their name, age and contact details to eli@e4empire.com.
Participants will receive an outfit from The Emoji Movie to keep, passes to Dubai Mall Ice Rink, and tickets to the screening of The Emoji Movie in Dubai ahead of its wide release.
Participants should be aware they might be filmed to promote the World Emoji Day 2017 at The Emoji Movie event.
