The Color Run returns to the UAE on November 11, riding on the coattails of rainbow-hued unicorns and splashes of colour for its annual ‘Happiest 5K on the Planet’ race. Aside from a melange of coloured powder to welcome runners, this year’s event will include a foam zone, a selfie corner to pose with giant unicorns and similar features that support its Dream World Tour theme.
Each runner will receive a participant kit, which will include a limited‐edition race shirt, an embroidered headband, among other freebies. Deluxe runners will receive the kit plus a gold bib for VIP Parking, a wristband, tutu, party socks and sunglasses.
Presented by Daman’s ActiveLife, the event will take place at the Dubai Autodrome, with early bird tickets now on sale, priced at Dh140. These are available from The Color Run’s official website and Reebok outlets across various malls in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Gates will open at 7am on the day, with the first runners setting off at 8.30am.
Since its inception in 2012, organisers say six million people have participated in the run from over 35 countries, while raising $5 million (Dh18.3 million) for charity.
