1. Gaansbai, South Africa

For the one of the most thrilling experiences ever, head down to Gaansbai known for their dense populations of great white sharks and whales. Dive down in a cage with sharks surrounding you and very possibly, snapping at you. The whale watching stations still stand in this seaside town  though whales in South Africa are now protected by law against any kind of hunting. This is where you will also find the southern-most indigenous forests of South Africa.

2. Kenya

Kenya is not just for safaris and animal viewings. From insane parties and luxurious hotels to adventurous and thrilling activities including bungee jumping, river rafting and more, this country is as diverse as it gets. Most nationalities can get an e-visa (two –three working days) or Visa on Arrival (Indians and some other nationalities).

3. North Korea

It is not as difficult to visit as you might think, unless you work in media. The stipulations include going through government approved tour operators who will arrange for North Korean guides to assist you all the way – no independent travel is allowed. Photography and local interaction might be limited, but insights into this secretive country would be an amazing and unique experience.

4. Rann of Kutch, India

While very well known to Indians living in the country, this destination is under-rated as an international tourist destination. One of the largest salt deserts in the world, the Great Rann of Kutch in Gujarat is a white desert and the best time to go would be during the three-month long Rann Utsav. Romantic getaways, adventure trips or culture discovery, you can do it all here.

5. Iceland

While popular with backpackers in Europe or with tourists who chase the beautiful Northern Lights, Iceland isn’t really 'top of mind' for anyone travelling from the UAE. To explore the country at its best, choose a tour package that will allow you to enjoy Iceland's best attractions which include the northern lights, Blue Lagoon (a geo-thermal spa in a lava field), erupting hot springs in Geysir, Gullfoss Waterfall and much more.
