Do you love your video diaries? While this app might sound absolutely ridiculous to a few people out there, many people love recording themselves. Yep, it’s true non-millennial readers — we record ourselves rambling on about random topics like Pomfret fry dinners or shooting pointless POV-styled activities like climbing mountains.

To cater to these individuals, the 1 Second Everyday app came into existence. It does exactly what it says on the box. You record one second of your day and after a few weeks/years/decades, the app stitches together an amazing video. It calls itself a ‘Modern visual diary’ and wants to create a single continuous chronological movie of your life.

International tech platform TechCrunch called it, “One of our favourite apps ever”, while local tech platform #GNTECH said, “Stop calling me Gary, I’m busy!” when asked for its views on the app.

Other features include something called ‘InstaMashing’ which merges your top 30 Instagram posts together into one clip and the ‘Diary’ feature where you can take notes or leave a private message to yourself.

The app costs about US5 (Dh18), available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. I’ll let you know how it goes in a couple of years from now.
