Sharjah: Sharjah Centre for Astronomy and Space Sciences said that the last day of Ramadan is likely to be on Tuesday, July 5, which will make Wednesday, July 6, the first day of Shawwal and Eid Al Fitr.
The announcement was made by Ebrahim Al Jarwan, assistant director of the Sharjah Centre for Astronomy and Space Sciences. Al Jarwan said that the prediction was made according to astronomic calculations. He pointed out that it will be possible to sight the Shawwal moon on Tuesday night. Sunrise on the first day of Eid, Wednesday, will be at 5.32am.
