Being a parent is an extremely hard job, especially if it’s your first time and the first few months of being responsible for one or more tiny dependant human beings. Here are some things that you can use for babies, but in reality, were created to help adults maintain their sanity. Stay sane, stay safe!

1. Self-heating bottle

This we feel is an absolute necessity. I have seen parents bundle up milk or water bottles in socks and mittens to keep them warm – but it shouldn’t be too hot either so not in a vacuum flask. So they boil to the maximum, put on a sock and then hope it is warm or cool enough for whenever the child needs it. This self-heating bottle can warm the liquid within whenever you require it – so carry your milk in a flask, put enough in the bottle and heat it up. It doesn’t get hotter than 37 degrees Celsius – so don’t be afraid of it being unbearably hot. Lifesaver!

2. Lullaby ready wherever you are

Unlike for adults, babies and young children need sounds to fall asleep – especially for new-borns as they are used to a lot of sounds, more like white noise, and movements while in the womb. A silent room is more likely to give them jitters instead of sleep, while too much noise can disturb them as well – which means no sleep for you either. Get this on-the-go sound machine that can create various kinds of sounds for your baby – ocean, heartbeat, white noise etc. and you can auto-time it depending on how quickly your child goes to sleep.

3. Relaxing night for you and the baby

You could also get one of these sound and projection devices. So, you need a minute or twenty – just set this device up, play soothing white noise and sounds while projecting colourful images on the ceiling for you tot to look at and have fun with. The sounds calm him or her to gently lull into sleep while the pictures keep your baby occupied as you take a second.

4. All-in-one crib

You need a swaddling cloth, a singing voice, a rocker and a diaper change all at once – we know how you feel. Try this all-in-one crib, a very aesthetically pleasing addition to your bedroom that you can use during the first few months of all your babies’ lives. It has a swaddling cloth which keeps your baby bundled up and comfy while ensuring that they don’t roll over. It also creates white noise and gently sways, mimicking the sounds and movements of the womb so they can sleep well.

5. Lost child alert

Twins, two or more young children –all of whom want to run away, this device will definitely help on those shopping mall, park or grocery trips. It may sound a little creepy for some, but hey, you need all the help you can get. An ankle monitor that connects to a mobile app which alerts you if your toddler moves beyond the app’s i.e. your radius.

6. No fuss temperature tracker

When your child is sick, the last thing you want is to disturb their sleep, right when they don’t want to or can’t go back to sleep easily. This sticker will allow you to track the baby’s temperature for 24 hours straight with the information being directly delivered to your mobile. It saves the changes and also alerts you in case the temperature is too high.

7. Backpack stroller

For travelling parents, a stroller is the most cumbersome baggage to have. This compact stroller can be folded up and out in your backpack; but when expanded, it is the standard size stroller and opens with a quick snap. The stroller holds the Guinness World Record for the smallest and most compact foldable stroller. City travel, picnic, international flights – this is your holy grail stroller.
