The multi-talented Ayushmann Khuranna has had a different kind of entry into Bollywood and he has remained very different from the stars we know and love. Who else in Bollywood is a singer, actor, composer, anchor and radio jockey all in one? His various pursuits have made him a crowd favourite and fans in Dubai can enjoy his performance live this weekend.
Here are 5 fun facts we love about Ayushmann:
1. Won Roadies when he was 20
For those who don't know, MTV Roadies is a popular Indian reality show which involves adventure, travel and many challenges for its participants. The last man or woman standing is the winner. Ayushmann won the second season of this show when he was just 20.
2. Started his career as an RJ
He started his career in the entertainment industry as a radio jockey for Big FM 92.7 in New Delhi. He went on to win the Bharat Nirman: Young Achiever's Award in 2007 for his work there. He is one of the youngest recipients of the award in New Delhi.
3. Television anchor
He was a video jockey for MTV for the show 'The Voice of Youngistaan', a youth-oriented informative show. He worked with other shows on MTV, India's Got Talent on Colors TV and Music Ka Maha Muqqabla and Just Dance on Star Plus. Other channels he worked with include Set Max and Zee Next. He won various awards as an anchor and presenter.
4. Movies
Khuranna's first movie was Vicky Donor in 2012 which did very well in the box office and for which he bagged many acting debut awards. His other successful movies include 'Naautanki Saala', 'Bewakoofiya', 'Dam Laga Ke Haisha' and 'Hawaaizaada'. His upcoming movie, 'Meri Pyaari Bindu', features Parineeti Chopra opposite him and is slated for release in 2017.
5. Music

He sang and composed his first song 'Paani Da Rang' in Vicky Donor recieving various debut awards and music awards in 2012 and 2013. He was a playback singer and composer for his other movies as well gaining acclaim as a musician. His rock band named 'Ayushmann Bhava' have been performing since 2015.
