Art: Art Jameel’s latest exhibition
Art Jameel and Delfina Foundation collaborate to present a solo exhibition ‘Plan for Feminist Greater Baghdad’, by Ala Younis held in Dubai. In the Iraqi artist’s original work, Plan for Greater Baghdad (2015), Younis looked at monuments, by architects, for governments, and the short state of empowerment they gained as politics shifted in Iraq.
In the newly commissioned work, Plan for Feminist Greater Baghdad (2018), Younis brings to, the significant contributions made by female artists, architects and other influential characters to the development of Baghdad and its modern monuments.

Movies under the stars at Etisalat Beach Canteen
Independent cinema platform Cinema Akil, is hosting a pop up at the Dubai Food Festival Etisalat Beach Canteen. They are screening two films at the event, including Howl's Moving Castle for the kids and the Gaza Surf Club for more seasoned movie goers. Both the film screenings are free to attend and take place on the bean bag area by the beach.

Culture: Shaolin Warriors Live in Dubai
The Shaolin Warriors – Kung Fu Masters show will make its GCC debut at Dubai Opera. The five-day run of shows comes directly from Shaolin in China, the birthplace of Kung Fu.
21 Kung Fu masters will be taking part in this fully-choreographed performance, which tells the story of a young child’s initiation and journey to become a warrior.
The Shaolin Warriors have toured the world for the past sixteen years, performing sell-out shows filled with awe-inspiring stunts and polished routines.
