Fans of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli are in for a disappointment as he won’t be making his film debut opposite his rumoured girlfriend and actress Anushka Sharma, according to Yash Raj Films.
It was earlier reported that Kohli has replaced Shah Rukh Khan in a romantic film being made by Yash Raj Films (YRF) starring Sharma.
“#YRFNews Virat Kohli will not star opposite Anushka Sharma in YRF’s next,” read a tweet from the official handle of the production banner.
The production house, under the guidance of late filmmaker Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra, has rolled out several popular films, including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
Sharma was also launched by the banner in 2008 opposite Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
