Stan Lee, the legendary creator of Spider-Man, Iron Man, X-men and Hulk, is making a Bollywood film, kind of. Lee, who created an Indian superhero comic character called Chakra the Invincible, in 2011, is developing a film version, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The comic icon has been reportedly meeting with Bollywood directors and producers to adapt Chakra into a live action film. Pre-production will start next year with film production set to begin in 2016, the magazine reported.

Chakra the Invincible revolves around an Indian teenager, Raju Rai, a technology genius living in Mumbai. Determined to use science to unlock the secrets of human potential, he develops a technically enhanced suit that activates the mystical chakras of the body, unleashing newfound abilities and powers.

“We’ve set up some great meetings already with some of the most amazingly talented actors and directors in Indian cinema, and I have no doubt that these individuals will help make the Chakra film a massive hit in India and around the globe,” Lee told The Hollywood Reporter.

Bollywood already has a superhero, though, in the form of Krrish, the hit movie franchise with three films so far, all super hits.

Chakra the Invinsible was recently made into an animated TV series airing on Cartoon Network India.
