Five of the hottest Filipino TV stars are in town for a much-awaited concert on October 30 and some “bonding time”.

Primetime Heartthrobs Live in Dubai will feature Gerald Anderson, Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, Enrique Gil and Rayver Cruz, who will serenade their fans in the UAE at the Indian High School’s Shaikh Rashid Auditorium. Except for Lim, the touring Filipino celebrities are not new to Dubai’s sights and scenes.

The group said fans can expect an entertainment-packed night with a lot of exciting performances. Talking about their favourite experiences in Dubai, Anderson, Dee, Gil and Cruz said they have been to different places, including the gold souq, to the desert for safaris, the Atlantis, the Palm and the various malls in the city.

“I really love shopping in Dubai,” Gil said.

For his first visit in the emirate, Lim said he is looking forward to visiting the Burj Khalifa.

“I hope we can go [on Thursday] before the concert in the evening,” he said.

Having toured around the world as a group for the past four years, the boys said the concert is a great opportunity for them to unwind and get to know each other more. Furthermore, while each has his own shows and movies in the Philippines (they only join each other during the annual world tours), the showbiz idols say they don’t compete against each other.

“Doing the Primetime Heartthrobs world tour allowed us to develop our friendship,” Cruz said.

Dee said the five of them spend more time together abroad than they do in the Philippines.

“When we are in the Philippine, we don’t really have time for each other because we are busy with our different commitments. But in Dubai, we have more bonding time here,” Dee said.

Anderson said their tour has been warmly received by fans in different cities around the world, including in Dubai.

“We are happy the fans accepted our group,” Anderson says.

The five met fans and signed autographs during a meet-and-greet on Wednesday night at Rocky’s Cafe.

The showbiz heartthrobs have done sold-out shows in more than 15 cities in the US and Canada. At the Las Vegas Filipino Festival in October 2012, the group set a record attendance for Filipino events with more than 10,000 fans.
