Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she recently had a miscarriage, in the two-hour season finale of her Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) show, which aired in the US on Sunday night.

When asked to give her take on her experience on the show, Lohan, on the verge of tears, said: “No one knows this. I had a miscarriage for those two weeks I took off. It’s a very long story. Mentally, that messes with you.”

Lohan made headlines during the “two weeks she took off” when she held up production on the reality show, which was supposedly about her trying to get back on track after rehab.

The actress didn’t disclose who fathered the child, but said that there were times she didn’t want to film because she “couldn’t move”.

She said: “Watching this series, I just know how I felt at that moment and I can relate to that girl. It sounds kind of crazy. I’m like ‘oh my God, this is really sad’. Who’s helping her?”

On Friday, when she guest-hosted on The View, she was asked by the newly engaged Jenny McCarthy whether there were any men in her life at present. Lohan laughed and answered directly: “No. They’ve been a distraction for me in the past.”

Earlier in the show, Lohan has admitted that a leaked, handwritten list of people she’d had sex with — many of them famous — was part of her fifth step in AA when she was at the Betty Ford Centre.

The actress was playing a game of “Plead the Fifth” with Andy Cohen on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. Having already used her one option to “plead the fifth” (meaning she didn’t have to answer a question) on a previous question, she at first answered “I can neither confirm or deny” when he pressed her about the authenticity of the list.

Then she changed her mind.

“You know what, I’m going to get serious for a second...” she said. “That was actually my fifth step in AA, at Betty Ford, and someone when I was moving, during the OWN show, must have taken a photo of it. So that’s a really personal thing. And it’s really unfortunate that that — because it just, I talk about this during the last episode ... so, ‘to be continued.’”

That’s confirmation enough to validate the 36-person list, which was written in Lohan’s distinctive hand and included famous names such as Zac Efron, Heath Ledger, Justin Timberlake, Colin Farrell and Adam Levine.

Alcoholics Anonymous’ fifth step is admitting “to God, ourselves, and another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.” It’s unclear which trip to Betty Ford she was referring to: Lohan stayed there in 2010 and 2013.

The star of The Canyons also seems hurt when discussing the list in a preview for her Lindsay season finale, which shows her dealing with the fact that the list has broken wide, including to the New York Post’s Page Six gossip column.

“The fact that that happened was not only humiliating, but just mean,” she says.
