Pop star Lady Gaga’s dog Asia was banned from travelling with her for the Far East leg of her ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour due to quarantine laws, but the French bulldog will be tagging along with her to Dubai.

Organisers of the singer’s Middle East debut have confirmed Asia will also get a warm Dubai welcome before she takes the stage on September 10 at Meydan.

The 28-year-old applied to travel with Asia for the tour in August, but was told by authorities that her furry friend will have to stay in the US, according to contactmusic.com.

Taking to her Twitter account, she tweeted: “They won’t let Asia into Asia. Some quarantine rules. I don’t know what I’m going to do without my baby girl in Tokyo. I had so many plans!”

Gaga played two nights at the Chiba Marine Stadium in Tokyo on August 13 and 14 before heading to Seoul, South Korea, to perform at the Olympic Stadium on August 16.

The Applause singer recently said she shares a very “special bond” with her pooch and says that they can communicate by using different body parts.

“She also talks a lot with her big, beautiful eyes. Her ears are especially large for a Frenchie, and I can tell she’s comfy at home with Mommy because her ears are down,” she said.

Gaga’s ArtRave: The Artpop Ball Tour, in support of her fourth studio album Artpop, will make its way to Dubai’s Meydan Racecourse on September 10. Tickets are priced at Dh495 (general admission), Dh750 (grandstand seating) and Dh1,295 (golden circle). VIP tables and suites passes are also available, starting at Dh2,000.
