Indian comedian Kapil Sharma is taking his hit TV show Comedy Nights with Kapil out of the studio for the first time — and onto a Dubai stage.

Sharma will perform a two-hour live show on September 5 at Dubai World Trade Centre’s Shaikh Rashid Hall, and his cast will be joining him.

That includes Mrs Sharma, Daadi, Bua, Siddhu, Gutti and of course, Palak.

The audience — there will be space for 3,600 — will have a chance to interact with Sharma and his crew.

The live Comedy Nights with Kapil in Dubai will be filmed and later aired on the international Indian channel Colors, with a set that reflects its Dubai location, organisers say.

Sharma’s show is one of Indian TV’s highest-rated and the comedian is the winner of several awards.

Singers Shaan and Mika Singh will also be on the line-up (two other acts are to be confirmed).

“This is the first time that the ever-popular show Comedy Nights with Kapil moves out of its Indian studio to an overseas locale,” says Yohann Abraham, a partner at Eyka, the Dubai-based events and advertising company organising the show, in a statement. “For the first time, people in the UAE will get a chance to be part of the popular show and watch at close range Kapil and his team performing live.”

Tickets are Dh150, AED 200, Dh250, Dh350, Dh550 and Dh1,000 at www.platinumlist.net. Doors open at 7pm, and show starts at 8.30pm.
