A new bag of tricks awaits residents in the UAE this month as American illusionist David Blaine will make his Middle East debut in Abu Dhabi on August 21st to 23rd.

The renowned magician is set to perform death-defying stunts at the Emirates Palace during the show David Blaine: Real or Illusion, hosted by Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA) and organized by Flash Entertainment.

“Come watch me risk my life. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you,” Blaine said in a special shout out to his fans in the Middle East released on Sunday.

Organisers said the show will be around two hours and Blaine’s fans can expect to see a new bag of tricks. Each full-length show will feature life-threatening feats, with a death defying grand finale.

Blaine is known for his endurance performances, and has established his name as a street performer of tricks and close-up illusion.

During one of his high-profile stunts nearly 14 years ago, Blaine encased himself in a massive block of ice for at least 63 hours in Times Square, New York City. He was taken to the hospital at the end of the performance, as he looked dazed and disoriented. The performance drew thousands of people.

Prices for ticket to the Abu Dhabi show start from Dh295.
