Akshay Kumar did the ALS ice bucket challenge in the chilly environs of Cape Town, where he’s shooting for TV show Dare 2 Dance.
Kumar shared the video on Twitter, with 11 contestants of Dare 2 Dance throwing ice cold water on him.
“I am in Cape Town, the temperature here is 8 degrees. I am shooting here for Dare 2 Dance and I have 11 contestants with me. My friend Riteish Deshmukh has dared me to take the ice bucket challenge and I’m ready.”
The online campaign challenges people to either dump a bucket of ice water over their heads or donate to support research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Kumar then nominated his wife, Twinkle Khanna, and friends Ashvini Yardi, Salman Khan and Johnny Lever.
“I am using sea water because I don’t want fresh water to be wasted,” said the actor.
Dare 2 Dance is a dance reality show in which Akshay plays the mentor.
