Irish singer Bob Geldof will perform at the Irish Village on October 20 as a part of the entertainment hub’s 20th anniversary celebrations.

The singer has performed in Dubai several times.

Geldof, who slammed Donald Trump recently, calling him a liar, rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Irish rock band The Boomtown Rats in the late 1970s, and as the founder of the 1980s charity concert Live Aid. He is currently being sued by former Boomtown Rat Johnnie Fingers, who claims he co-wrote the band’s 1979 hit I Don’t Like Mondays.

The concert begins at 9pm and entry is free. Children will be allowed until 8.30pm. Go to theirishvillage.com
