Abu Dhabi: The organisers of Abu Dhabi Culture Summit said the summit had been an important driver in bringing different people together to discuss the role of arts and culture in creating an environment of understanding.

“Acceptance is core, acceptance is one of our [Emirati] values,” said Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, in her closing remarks on the final day of the summit.

“We are in a world that is being connected faster, [and is] more globalised than ever. I have just one request - how can you transfer the knowledge, [and the] experience of what you have learned and what you know,” she added to all the participants of the five-day summit.

Mohammad Al Mubarak, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, also hailed the Culture Summit and the positive message it sent.

“What we have accomplished over the last week was exceptional, we have all come closer to each other, and in coming closer we have all become better human beings.

“If we can do it over a week, I am sure the world can do it. Things like this will make a difference,” he added.
