Dubai: The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) launched its Ajman Tourism Investment Map project on Tuesday, according to a statement on Wednesday.

The project targets the development of a road map for tourism development in the emirate of Ajman in accordance with Ajman Vision 2021, said Faisal Al Nuaimi, ATDD’s general manager, at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, a four-day trade event for the travel industry that will end on Thursday. “The project will present the current tourism scene in Ajman, focus on analysing the current and future infrastructure needs and evaluate the expected effect of tourism on local economy,” he stated.

According to him, the project, which will be in four phases, would result in a realistic map on the potentials and opportunities of tourism investment in Ajman in the coming five years.

The project will include a survey on the hospitality, entertainment, food and beverage, and transport sectors in Ajman, he added.

ATTD cooperates with government and non-government authorities to support the development of the tourism sector.

Ajman’s delegation at WTM also includes Ajman Chamber, Ajman Saray Hotel, Kempinski Hotel Ajman, Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman, Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman, and Ewan Hotel Apartments.
