Dubai: Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has launched its flagship device, the HTC One M9, in Dubai on Monday.

HTC, in bid to keep to abreast with Samsung and Apple, will be retailing the device for Dh2,749 by end of the month.

This is the first premium smartphones unveiled at the recent Mobile World Congress to hit the shelves much faster than Samsung’s S6 and S6 Edge.

The five-inch device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, with four cores clocked at 2GHz and four at 1.5GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity. It can be expanded to 128GB using micro SD card slot.

HTC has bumped up its camera specs compared to its predecessor, the One M8, with 20.7MP rear and 4MP Ultrapixel snapper for better low-light conditions.

It runs on latest Android Lollipop operating system with tweaked user interface from HTC known as UI Sense 7.
