Dubai: HP will focus on tablets with voice-calling capabilities at Gitex Shopper Spring edition to entice consumers.

“Last Gitex has been very good for us and we are optimistic about this year also,” said Mathew Thomas, general manager for printing and personal systems at HP Middle East.

HP will be launching six-inch and seven-inch Slate VoiceTab tablets, which are powered by Quad-Core processors and run on the Android operating system. It also offers voice-calling capability and comes equipped with a 3G Dual SIM facility.

Mathew said that the six-inch tablet will be available for Dh1,099 but the price for the seven-inch tablet will only be fixed on the first day of Gitex.

The Gitex Shopper Spring edition will be held from April 23-27 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

HP will also be launching a new deskjet ink advantage printer and a HP Pavilion x360 laptop capable of converting into a tablet.
