Dubai: Sony announced on Thursday that is will introduce the Arabic language into games for the PlayStation 4. Robert Fisser, general manager for the company’s PlayStation Division, said the company has 10 to 12 games games with Arabic currently in development. The language has also been included in the PlayStation software developer kit to encourage its uptake.

The first game to be released with be Driveclub. The game is scheduled to be released in October, but the Arabic-language version of the games will be released a few months later, Fisser said.

Sony also announced that it will begin making ICFLIX available through the console. ICFLIX is a digital content subscription website that streams Arabic, Indian and English content in the Middle East. Pricing for the service was unavailable at time of deadline.

The PlayStation 4 was launched in December 2013.
