Dubai: People in UAE are searching on everything, concluded the giant search engine of Google.
According to Google “Annual Year in Search”, which is offering the top trending searches for 2015, people in UAE searched for many different things and a wide range of current events.
“This year, the list is quiet exhaustive, and it covers a lot of thigs in terms of trending, new products and electronics, sports, and current events,” said Joyce Baz, regional communication manager at Google.
“We have seen more Arabic quires, which means people were searching more in Arabia and that is a good thing,” she added to Gulf News.
Also, “we saw heavy heavy interest in TV shows,” she said.
According to Google’s lists, people searched for many news related to late Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his accomplishments.
They also searched for IPhone 6, which was launched in 2015.
Google used data from different sources to compile its lists, said Baz, including trillions of searches by people. She explained the meaning of “trending” and said it is the increase in the search of a certain term over a certain period of time.
