Dubai: Sharaf DG is back with the best Gitex offer. The retailer has tied up with LG and BMW to bundle LG’s 55-inch curved 4K OLED (organic light-emitting diode) TV and 2016 BMW 318i model for Dh103,999.
Nilesh Khalkho, CEO Sharaf DG, told Gulf News that the stand-alone BMW316i costs Dh129,000 while the stand-alone TV costs Dh24,999.
“Instead of paying Dh153,999, a customer pays only Dh103,999 and saves Dh50,000. We hope to sell 100 cars during the eight-day period,” he said.
In Gitex Shopper Spring held in April, the trio sold the LG’s 55-inch curved OLED TV and a BMW 316i for only Dh99,990. The actual cost of the car that time was Dh135,000 and the TV for Dh14,999.
Khalkho said that there is a guaranteed buy-back of the car at Dh103,999 for customers who wish to upgrade to another model from BMW.

Insurance
Moreover, Sharaf DG is also launching DG Shield, a product insurance plan called “Damage Protection and Product Replacement Plan”.
“Customers can buy electronic products from any retailer but can avail this service for as low as Dh50. When customers avail this at Gitex Shopper, they can get Dh30 ticket refunded. By paying 10 per cent of the product price as insurance for one year, customers have protection against accidental damage, cracked screen, liquid damage, theft by forced entry,” he said.
If a product is damaged, he added that either the product can be repaired as part of the warranty or the customer can pay another 10 per cent and get a new device. If a screen breaks or cracks, it is not covered under the warranty and a customer has to pay around Dh800 to replace it.
