Under the MoU, Abu Dhabi Ports will develop the Fujairah port’s existing infrastructure through its wholly-owned Fujairah terminals. The agreement will contribute to significant growth in the Port of Fujairah’s operations in the coming years with the objective of being able to receive vessels of all sizes, in addition to an increase in freight operations, general cargo and passenger services.

Al Za’abi said the projects being implemented under the umbrella of the President’s initiatives have contributed effectively to bringing about a unique leap in the economic and social development in the country, leading the way for sustainable growth and prosperity.

“The multipurpose port plays an important developmental role in the UAE, which made great strides in various fields, and the enhancement of Fujairah Port’s infrastructure will strengthen its stature regionally and globally,” Al Zaabi said.
