DUBAI: The Dubai Design District (d3) has partnered with Al Tayer Group’s Retail portfolio to support d3 designers in fulfilling their career ambitions, according to a statement on Thursday.

The partnership with Al Tayer Group will enable designers from a variety of disciplines to hone and develop their skills. They will also receive the relevant mentoring they require and a platform from which to demonstrate their works.

Showcasing at Meet d3’s Lifestyle Retail Concept is an opportunity for local designers to develop a comprehensive collection under the guidance of Al Tayer Group’s Luxury Fashion experts Jolanta Parlstam and Philip Antony Jones.

Designers presented their designs to Al Tayer’s retail experts at the d3 Designers’ See Day which took place on August 23 at d3. During their session, they were provided with advice and feedback on their designs, branding and pricing strategy.

“One of the main objectives of d3 is to drive growth of the fashion and design industry by supporting and mentoring our designers through d3 as a platform that facilitates creativity through interaction, learning and collaboration. There is a wealth of talent in the GCC/MENA region and by partnering with events such as this, we will help designers grow, expand and achieve real success worldwide,” stated Mohammad Saeed Al-Shehhi, chief operating officer of d3.

The final collections will be showcased at the Meet d3 event in December.
