Dubai: Bride Dubai 2016, which opens at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Wednesday, will offer brides-to-be the essentials they will need for their big day.

The four-day exhibition will bring together 250 global and regional exhibitors, up from 230 last year, showcasing everything from gowns and jewellery to cosmetics and photography. The exhibitors include Al Amine Jewellery from the UAE, Arabia Weddings from Jordan, Daniela Casile Haute Couture from Italy and Mounia Paris from France, among others.

The show is expected to attract 15,000 visitors, an increase from 12,000 last year, said Suzy Pallett, exhibition director at Informa, the show’s organiser.

“We have introduced some features, so the browsing time will be much higher. There will be free makeovers and manicures,” Pallett said by phone.

The cost of a wedding in Dubai generally starts from around Dh90,000.

Bride Dubai will have fashion shows at the Fashion Catwalk, featuring bridal dresses and evening gowns.

It will also feature a pop-up couture area, showcasing designs from Essa, Ezra, Ritu Kumar, Dar Sara Fashion and Abeer Al Suwaidi, among others.

A beauty lounge at the show, Indulge Me, will offer services for brides-to-be including a manicure, a massage and a consultation.

Entry tickets are priced from Dh25 and can go up to Dh200.
