Dubai: Some of the leading lights in the region’s communications space will be in Dubai next week for an industry summit organised by the International Public Relations Association Gulf Chapter. The three day event opens October 25.

Keynote speakers will include Abdallah Jum’ah, former President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, Abdullatif Al-Othman, former Governor and Chairman of the Board of Sagia, and Bart de Vries, President of IPRA.

The theme of the event is “Evolving Media Strategies for Public Relations” and will feature 12 conference sessions with topics ranging from “The Changing Role of Women in PR” to “Managing International PR in the Gulf Region”.

There will also be eight workshops conducted by communications experts from organisations such as Saudi Aramco, LinkedIn and Lipincott covering topics such as managing crisis communications, effective speech writing and media messaging in digital media.

“With the highly talented and coveted speakers we have assembled for this year’s IPRA-GC conference, we expect a record number of attendees to embrace the conference and learn from the best and brightest communications executives in the industry,” said Hasan J. Al Hasan, President of IPRA-GC.

“We are thrilled at the response to the accomplished speakers list of today’s top international journalists and communications executives from the world’s leading corporations and businesses.”
