Dubai: Join the US President Donald Trump cartoon project — and be recognised alongside such iconic media titles as the Financial Times and Japan’s Asahi Shimbun.

“Toon In, ‘Toon Out: An Illustrated Guide to Donald Trump’s First 100 Days in Office” will chronicle the beginnings of what has been an extremely turbulent presidency, both domestic and internationally.

It was last October while on the campaign trail that the Trump spoke in Gettysburg and released a plan for his first 100 days if elected to office.

The plan outlined three main areas of focus:, including Cleaning up Washington and imposing term limits on Congress; protecting American workers; and restoring the rule of law.

Like it or not, Trump’s decision affects not only America, but the world. Allow us then to highlight the impact of his presidency in a cartoon format. As the saying goes, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then a cartoon is at least worth a million.

The Society for News Design and the Danish newspaper “Politiken” are inviting cartoonists from all over the world to submit entries that can answer the following question: “How did Donald Trump manage his first 100 days as president?”

Once an artwork is submitted, that news organisation will gain access to the entire catalogue of cartoon entries for the project. All contributing cartoonists and news organisations must accept this shared copyright.

Publications may choose to produce a special cartoon for the project or select one already published. There are no restrictions on the number of submissions. (The deadline is April 24.)

“Politiken” will organise the cartoons in Dropbox and then distribute them via WeTransfer. Both print and digital cartoons will be published on April 29 and the following days.
