Abu Dhabi:  UAE financial markets will remain closed on Sunday, December 11, to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

According to the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), work will resume on Monday, December 12.

The holiday is based on a circular issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.

SCA left the door open for the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange to determine the holiday according to work requirements and public interest.
