Sharjah Chamber announces excellence awards

Dubai: Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) announced the winners of the Sharjah Economic Excellence Network Award at a high-profile event held at Expo Centre on Wednesday.

The award was launched in 2002 as one of Sharjah Chamber’s initiatives to promote adopting corporate governance, adhering to quality standards and strong work ethics, developing the responsibility of private sector enterprises and promoting the role of economic institutions by launching new projects and initiatives.

The awards recognise the role played by member-firms of the chamber in promoting the local economy, and encourage others to participate actively in overall development.

The awards were presented by Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in the presence of Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, chairman of Sharjah Economic Excellence Award Board of Trustees, and Khalid Bin Butti Al Hajri, Director General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
