Dubai: New business partners are set to join the Laboratory Complex and new Head Quarters Tower at Dubai Science Park (DSP), a freezone community aimed at facilitating and fostering the growth of the UAE’s science sector.

Boston Scientific Middle East, Olympus MEA, Hager Middle East, Bottu International and Mettler-Toledo will open new premises in the Laboratory Complex, DSP said in a statement on Monday. Meanwhile, Orexigen Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company specialising in obesity, will be one of the first newly registered tenants to set up in DSP’s HQ tower, DSP said in a statement on Monday.

Cooper International, Getz Pharma, First Solar, and Dayarn will also relocate to the HQ in the first quarter of 2017, following completion of the twin towers.

“Since inception, we have been striving to achieve our vision of developing a holistic location for organisations from every area of the life science, new energy and environment industries,” stated Marwan Abdulaziz, executive director at DSP.

Dubai Science Park supports both small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and global firms looking for a regional base for their Middle East operations. There are over 300 companies currently located within DSP.
