Dubai: The construction of another one of Dubai’s iconic developments - the tallest tower on the beach - has already started.

The 303-metre high structure, which promises to offer sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai Marina, will rise at the end of the Jumeirah Beach Walk. It will feature a lounge at the top level and a signature Sky Restaurant, as well as luxury rooms and residences.

More than 222,000 cubic metres of sand will be excavated for the three basement levels of the tower development, which will be known as The Address Residences Jumeirah Resort + Spa.

The project has a built-up area of 255,000 square metres. It is essentially a single tower, arranged in a split formation to maximise light and ensure sweeping views. Its unique design gives the structure the impression of two towers.

It will feature a series of infinity pools and terraces. It will have three key components: a resort and spa with 183 rooms and suites, serviced apartments and residential flats.

"The two-tower development will be one of the key architectural icons that we are working on in Duba, having supported several ambitious mixed-used mega developments already," a spokesperson for Middle East Foundation Group said.

The development will offer easy access to and from Jumeirah Beach Road and Shaikh Zayed Road, and residents will have access to more than 100 metres of beach frontage.
