Dubai: With Valentine’s Day on the way and airlines looking to fill the seats during the slow post-holiday season, there are bargains to be had for travel junkies out there, including a round trip to New York for Dh3,015 or Manila for Dh1,580.
Etihad Airways and Virgin Atlantic have just announced that they are offering promotional fares this month for a limited time period.
For expatriates who want to fly from Abu Dhabi to Manila anytime today until November 30 this year, fares can be had for Dh1,580 if they choose to book with Etihad Airways.
The deal, however, will pass very quickly and travellers have only until February 13, just a day before Valentine’s, to secure seats. Return fares to Kochi and Chennai are also available for Dh950 and Dh1,090, respectively during the same period.
Virgin Atlantic is also sharing the love this month with its so-called “companion fares” promo that entices couples or pals to travel together, to save money on tickets.
Flights from Dubai to London, Aberdeen and Edinburgh will cost only Dh2,165, provided that two or more customers will travel in the same cabin on the same flight and on the same date. For New York, fares under the same deal will cost Dh3,015.
But for those who want to travel solo, special fares start from Dh2,265 for London, Aberdeen and Edinburgh flights, and Dh3,165 for New York.
Virgin Atlantic’s promotional rates will expire on February 18, 2018.
