DUBAI: On today’s episode, the team goes full science fiction as we discuss the potential for implants that tell our employers where we are, how much work we’ve done, and what kind of mood we’re in.

But before we get to that futuristic point in our conversation, we look at the Wisconsin company that is set to offer employees chips, implanted just below their skin, to open doors, buy snacks, log in to computers, and use office equipment like copy machines.

The team discusses if this is even something that people would want, and what some of the physical, mental, and ethical considerations might be.

We also look at whether it will even be necessary in a world where no one goes to the office anymore, everyone is simply patched in to a hologram system from their bedroom.

Finally, we discuss some of the wider societal implications of such technological advancements, and their use outside of the office, in other walks of life.
