Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), chaired the ADFD board of directors meeting.

Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister and Deputy Chairman, was also present.

The board discussed a number of important topics on its agenda, most notably following up on decisions made during its previous meeting on June 11.

Shaikh Mansour stressed that ADFD continues to work according to the framework drawn up by the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan to support projects in developing countries. He added that the development projects financed by the fund is evidence of the UAE’s keenness to activate and bolster international cooperation in providing a decent life for peoples around the world.

Mohammad Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADFD, said that the fund plays a key role in supporting the economies of developing countries. He pointed out that during past decades, the ADFD has financed and managed Dh64 billion in loans to finance 417 development projects in 71 developing countries.
