Dubai LUXGEN, Taiwan’s premium automotive brand, has launched its SUV and MPV range in the UAE. Represented here by Western Auto, LUXGEN vehicles are stylish and equipped with safety and convenience technologies such as LDWS+ (Lane Departure Warning System), Side View+ (Blind Spot monitoring), Night Vision+ (night vision camera), Eagle View+ (a 360-degree surround view camera), iKey+ (smart keyless entry) and THINK+ (the sophisticated infotainment system equipped with multimedia, navigation, phone and diagnostic funtions).
LUXGEN SUV range starts from Dh115,000 for the LUXGEN7 SUV M/L + version and tops out at Dh129,000 for LUXGEN7 SUV P/L version. The LUXGEN7 MPV M/L, meanwhile, starts at Dh105,000 while the range-topping LUXGEN7 MPV P/L+ version goes for Dh119,000.
An all-new sedan will be added to the line-up in the third quarter of 2014.
The THINK+ infotainment system integrates all important multimedia, communication and vehicle setting and information data into a one Hi-Res slick display. It allows you to control all your digital audio devices, hands-free Bluetooth telephony as well as displays real time vehicle status reports and warnings. It also features voice activated controls which are fully configurable for a greater level of personalization.
The unique ‘Wings of Intelligence’ design language is combined with human-centric ergonomic engineering to create an ingeniously advanced but user friendly cockpit which packs high-contrast instrument panel, intelligent anti-theft seat and many other advanced designs and features. The exterior styling is clean and elegant and the body is based on a HRSS (High-Rigidity Safety Structure) that dissipates energy away from the occupants in the case of a collision, therefore keeping them safe.
A highly advanced 2.2-litre turbocharged engine powers both the SUV as well as the MPV. The engine is unique because while it delivers the power of a bigger six-cylinder engine, it returns the fuel economy of a smaller four-cylinder unit. The engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission from Japanese specialists Aisin and delivers imperceptible shifts for smooth unruffled progress.
