Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi-headquartered Emirates Defense Technology (EDT) on Sunday revealed its new Armored Modular Fighting Vehicle Enigma on the opening day of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (Idex).
The Enigma 8x8, which will be displayed on the Emirates Defense Technology’s stand for the duration of Idex, is heavily armoured vehicle with amphibious capabilities that can accommodate 11 personnel. It weights 28-tons.
The production of the Enigma will be at Edt’s facility in Abu Dhabi.
Mohamed Bin Jabr Al Suwaidi, CEO of Emirates Defense Technology said the new Enigma 8X8 reflects the long-standing commitment to the design, engineering and manufacture of hardware in the UAE.
“It also supports our reputation for producing exceptional defence solutions that directly meets the needs of our local, regional and global client base,” he said.
