Dubai: The Dubai based EFS Group has won the contract to exclusively handle all facilities services at the developments of Egypt’s Palm Hills Development, which has 18 projects in Egypt apart from owning land for development in Saudi Arabia. The terms of the contract become effective from this quarter.

Currently, Palm Hills possesses one of the largest land banks in Egypt and is also expanding its role as a regional player. “Facilities management is a tool that offers the required services currently missing in projects across Egypt where there are significant investments in long term assets,” said Tariq Chauhan, Group CEO of EFS Group.

Under the first phase of the MoU, the EFS mandate extends to more than 10 million square metres of Palm Hill developments. It will employ more than 1,500 professionals and l deliver more than 35 service lines.

“We will continue to implement our global policies and procedures within Egypt while focusing on employee retention and development,” said Chauhan. “EFS will rationalise operational expenses in line with international benchmarks to accrue the benefit back to residents and owners.”
