Abu Dhabi: Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development signed an agreement with the Government of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation to develop small and medium enterprises within the Chechen Republic.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of Khalifa Fund in Abu Dhabi by Hussain Jasem Al Nowais, Chairman of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, and Khasan Khakimov Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Chechnya.

Al Nowais said the agreement aims to lay down a framework to organise the future collaboration between both parties and to ensure the development of small and medium enterprises in the Chechen Republic.

“We hope that this project will empower the youth and disadvantaged communities of the Republic and assist in developing the advanced skills needed to contribute to the economic development of the Republic,” he said.

Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development has been supporting small and medium enterprises sector outside UAE. The Fund provided financial support worth $200 million to invest in the development of small and medium enterprises in Egypt, through the Social Fund of the Egyptian development.
