Dubai: Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has signed a Memoranding of Understanding with the Institute of Directors, India, to strengthen ties with the Dubai-based Indian business community.

The MoU also calls on both parties to help increase trade between India and the UAE, which stood at $53 billion (Dh195 billion) in 2017.

DMCC Executive Chairman Ahmad Bin Sulayem said, “It is clear that more trade, more investment and fewer barriers to business is good for Dubai, DMCC and all connected partners. The agreement signed today symbolises that this approach to business is a shared one. We are delighted to be working even closer with the Institute of Directors, and supporting the many Indian businesses wishing to set up in Dubai.”
