Dubai: Around 100 organisations are expected to compete in the second edition of the Gulf Sustainability and CSR Awards in partnership with International Humanitarian City and the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence, according to news agency WAM.

The event will showcase the corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects of UAE companies, in response to the government’s call for firms to work harder at giving back to the community. They have set a target of Dh500 million for private sector CSR initiatives. The event will be held in 2018 at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Dubai.
