Dubai: Etihad Airways and its international cash management bank partner Citi have completed a project to introduce automated tools at Etihad’s treasury department.

In a statement on Sunday, Etihad said the project was completed six months ahead of schedule, and will allow the airline to use automated treasury tools by Citi.

The 18-month project saw Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways implement Citi’s liquidity management solutions across its international network. The solutions will achieve significant cash optimisation, and competitive market rates, resulting in transaction cost savings, Etihad said.
