Dubai: Emirates, the largest Middle Eastern airline company, is expanding its European network this week with two more destinations.
Starting from Tuesday (September 2), Emirates will fly daily to Oslo, Norway, the third Scandinavian capital.
“Norway’s resilient economy is built on strong foundations including its dynamic oil, gas, fishing, telecom and maritime sectors,” said Tim Clark, President, Emirates airline in a statement posted on the company’s website.
“We believe that Emirates’ new Oslo service will stimulate further growth via trade, tourism and investment flows into the country… We also look forward to introducing new audiences to Oslo and drawing in visitors from a host of points across the global network including the UAE and destinations further East such as India, Pakistan, Thailand, China and Vietnam,” Clark added.
Already, Emirates has direct daily flights to Copenhagen in Denmark and Stockholm in Sweden.
The daily Dubai-Oslo service is operated by Boeing 777-300ER, and will offer three cabin classes. The flights will depart from Dubai at 7.00 am and reach Oslo at 12.10 pm. Flights depart Oslo at 13.55 and arrive at Dubai at 22.50.
After Oslo, Emirates will start direct daily service to Brussels on September 5.
The new daily service will depart Dubai at 7.50am and arrive at Brussels International Airport at 1.15pm local time. The return flight departs Brussels at 2.45pm and arrives in Dubai at 11.25pm.
