Dubai: Emirates passengers visiting Dubai this winter can use their boarding pass to avail themselves of budget-saving discounts and other special privileges.

The Dubai airline announced on Wednesday that it is extending its “My Emirates Pass” programme that gives customers exclusive offers and discounts across the city by turning the boarding pass into an exclusive membership card.

The programme was launched in the summer of 2017 and has proven to be popular among flyers. With the promo now extended, those flying to or through Dubai between 1 January and 31 March 2018 can continue to use their boarding pass as a discount card.

It can be used at dining venues, theme parks, spas, golf courses and other must-see places like the Global Village, Wild Wadi Waterpark and IMG World of Adventures. Discounts can range between 15 per cent and 25 per cent and all customers have to do is present their Emirates boarding pass and a valid form of identification.

“Visitors to Dubai can use My Emirates Pass to enjoy some of the city’s must-see places,” the airline said.

The coverage of the special card has just been extended, and privileges can now be availed of at more than 250 restaurants and hotel dining outlets in Dubai. Special privileges will also be extended to flyers who wish to enjoy a range of leisure activities, including visits to golf courses, theme parks or spas.

“Dubai is one of the world’s most vibrant cities, with a diverse range of experiences to suit everyone and keep travellers returning time and time again,” said Mohammad Al Hashimi, vice president, commercial products Dubai, Emirates airline.

“This year, we’ve doubled the number of partners in the My Emirates Pass programme to give our customers more options and even better value on their visit. Whether it’s your first time in Dubai or a return trip, there is always something new to explore.”
