Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi-based Aldar Properties PJSC (‘Aldar’) on Saturday announced Mohammad Khalifa Al Mubarak as the company’s Chief Executive Officer effective immediately.

Al Mubarak previously held the position of Deputy CEO and Chief Portfolio Management Officer at the company.

Since joining the company in 2006, the company said Al Mubarak has been the driving-force behind many strategic initiatives, most notably the creation of Yas Island. Last year, he played an integral role in the merger integration as well as successfu launch of three new developments to market.

In addition to his previous roles at Aldar, Al Mubarak is Chairman of Farah Leisure (operator of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld), a Board member of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority and Chairman of Aldar Academies.
