Dubai Health Authority (DHA) recently launched the smart mobile consultation booth at the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) headquarters.

The smart booth allows employees at government bodies to conduct medical check-ups that include the following tests: blood pressure, blood glucose, temperature, lipid profile, weight and height and BMI, heart rate, blood oxygen and ECG.

The booth also has a telemedicine feature that allows patients to communicate with a specialised DHA doctor for consultation after the results are out.
This initiative is part of DHA’s many Dubai Future Accelerators Projects. RTA headquarters is one of the four governmental bodies that the smart consultation booth will visit.

DHA opens registration for medical and science scholarships for Emirati students

Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has opened the registration for Emirati high school graduates seeking scholarships in medicine and science.
DHA will provide Emirati students with scholarships to encourage them to enter the fields of medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and other related ones.
This is the second year the authority has participated in the health and science scholarship programme.

Amna Al Suwaidi, Director of Human Resources at DHA, said that in addition to covering students’ expenses and the scholarship, the authority will provide monetary incentives throughout their studying years to encourage them to excel in their fields.

The authority will also give priority to these students for training and employment opportunities at DHA facilities.

She added that the authority is working on adding more specialisations and skilled cadres to its facilities to meet the authority’s growing demand and meet its Emiratisation objectives.
