Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed a MoU on Wednesday to strengthen strategic relations in the fields of corporate performance, governance and legal affairs.

The MoU was signed at the DHA headquarters by H.E Jasim Mohammad Al Awadi, the CEO of the Institutional Support Services Sector at DHA and H.E Nasser Abu Shehab the CEO of the RTA’s Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector.

Following the signing, Al Awadi said the RTA is one of the authority’s most strategic partners and strengthening its partnerships with it is an opportunity to support the Dubai government’s developmental drive especially when it comes to corporate performance, governance and legal affairs.

He said the authority is keen to build strong relationships with all partners to fulfill the strategic goals of the DHA which ultimately is achieving a healthy and happy community.

He said the MoU aims to fulfil DHA’s goal to form an integrated health system, managed by the highest standards of institutional performance, which serves the public interest and DHA customers.

Abu Shehab on the other hand said that the RTA signed the MoU due to its keenness to cooperate and coordinate with Dubai government bodies and institutions in order to achieve the goal of integrating the institutional work.
This was in order to ensure a consistent performance, in line with the government’s directives.

He added that focusing on legal affairs ensures the control of the performance of government departments, which means providing greater transparency and corporate governance in the legal field, through activating areas of cooperation and exchange of knowledge and relevant expertise.
