Dubai: Newcomer Nacho Armilles of France impressed but it was the experienced Nader Bin Hindi who stood out in the fourth round of the UAE Jet Ski Championships held at Umm Suqeim Beach yesterday.

Armilles won one race and secured a second in the other to secure a maximum 60 points in the Expert Ski Limited class, but was denied further glory in the Pro Ski GP by countryman Steven Duliach, forced to settle for second at the end of the day.

"I am pleased with the way things are going on for me in my first season here. My idea is to give off my best and get some experience along the way," Armilles told Gulf News.

Duliach said: "One bad race in Abu Dhabi set things back for me a bit, but it is teamwork that has seen us do so well here."

Overall lead

Al Mur Mohammad Bin Huraiz kept the overall lead in the Expert Ski Limited class despite coming in second to Armilles.

But it was Bin Hindi who rode a perfect race pursuing 777 rider Chris Wilkinson to ultimately overtake the Englishman on the penultimate lap and seal a well-deserved win in the Pro Runabout Stock class.
