Sharjah: Arabian View Saints won over Delhi Private School Sharjah in a closely contested game at the Al Shaab Sports Club, Sharjah.
Arabian View Saints dominated in the opening quarter and led 16-7 after 10 minutes.
DPS took the upper hand in the second quarter to make the score 20-16 with Ali Hussain penetrating through Arabian's defence. Kunal and Sideek kept it up for DPS as they combined to score 20 points during the third quarter to stay in front with 47-45.
DPS's play started to suffer when their key players started to commit fouls, and the teams exchanged the lead.
Arabian View Saints regrouped in the last period and struck back taking a five-point lead in the dying moments of the game to make the score 65-60.
Melvin led the way for the winners with 30 points, Zaheer netted 13, while Carl scored 12. Kunal Vohra produced 31 points for the losers.
